The Oregon Football Association (OFA), a non-profit that organizes football camps for hundreds of kids each year, led by former University of Oregon players and current NFL players. Besides helping kids build knowledge and skills around fitness, diet and athletics, OFA also helps kids create programs to benefit their communities.

Angled End Athletics, one of the country's top sports industry design and branding studios, will give away a FREE website design/development project to the sports-related non-profit that is judged to offer the greatest benefit to the world. Contest candidates must have their principle place of business in the Portland or San Francisco metropolitan areas and must submit an essay of 500-1000 words describing their history, mission and how a professionally-developed website will help the organization achieve its goals. Any not-for-profit organization whose mission relates to sports and/or fitness may apply.

The grand prize includes:

  • Detailed discussion of brand strategy, target market, stylistic expectations with AEA staff
  • Skeletal wireframes delineating the size and position of all home page elements
  • Comprehensive design of website appearance (plus up to three rounds of design changes)
  • Creation of WordPress-based website based on the final design
  • Assistance with usage of WordPress, including examples of content placement
  • Submission to major search engines and announcement of website launch on AEA/AEI networks

Candidates must be based in the San Francisco, CA or Portland, OR metropolitan areas and cannot have an existing business relationship with Angled End Athletics/Angled End Identities, its staff, or with its partners GamePlan Wealth and Bay Area Sports Management prior to 9-15-2011. Essay must be received electronically (as an email, PDF or Word document) no later than 5:00 PM PST on 11-1-2011. Essays will be judged and a winner chosen by the staff of Angled End Athletics and its partners GamePlan Wealth (www.gameplanwealth.com) and Bay Area Sports Management (www.ba-sm.com) on or before November 5, 2011. Website project scope is limited to the following: up to 2 hours of phone or in-persion discussion with Angled End Athletics/Angled End Identities staff; 1 home page wireframe; up to 2 rounds of adjustments to said wireframe; 1 comprehensive home page design; up to 3 rounds of adjustments to said home page design; installation of WordPress and other agreed-upon website software; creation and implementation of WordPress theme based on said home page design; implementation of home page content and verbal and/or textual instructions for usage of WordPress/implementation of remaining website content; submission of website to Google.com and Bing.com search engines; and announcement of completed website on Angled End Athletics' social media spaces (Twitter, Facebook and our blog).
